Production Support Engineer - Trading Systems

The team supporting their trading and risk infrastructure needs a sharp, independent engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments. When the market is open, every second counts - and your instincts, speed, and depth of knowledge are what keep things running. This is not a service desk. You will be deep in logs, databases, and systems alongside traders and engineers - hunting root causes, not managing queues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investigation and resolution of production incidents across trading and risk systems
- Dig into logs, SQL, and system metrics to find root causes - not just symptoms
- Work directly with traders, quant teams and developers during live incidents
- Support order flow, execution pipelines, market data feeds, and trade lifecycle processes
- Build automation and tooling that eliminates repetitive manual operations
- Improve monitoring, observability, and alerting across the stack
- Participate in on-call and out-of-hours incident response

- Linux / Unix environments
- SQL for investigation and debugging
- Production incident troubleshooting
- Monitoring tools - Geneos, Splunk, Dynatrace
- Scripting and automation - Python, Bash

- FIX protocol
- Exchange connectivity and market data systems
