About the role:

The successful candidate will join the infrastructure team, where you will collaborate with the Windows, UNIX, Network and database teams to design solutions in order to meet shared storage requirements. This will involve covering Windows file shares, NFS shares, performant storage-attached networks for database clusters, etc.

You will also be tasked with building and maintaining vendor relationships, product selection, design & implementation, and development of a data backup solution contributing to the firm’s business continuity plans. As well as design work the role is a technical, hands-on position.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in storage systems administration and platform engineering
• You have delivered, tuned and maintained optimised enterprise grade storage solutions
• Excellent working knowledge of storage protocols (SMB, NFS, S3)
• Good working knowledge of Linux and Windows OS
• Proven track record of developing and implementing data backup strategies
• You work well as part of a team and excel in a collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
