Role Overview

A market-leading consultancy seeks Business Solution Architects at Manager and Senior Manager levels to join its managed services solutioning team. This non-technical role focuses on bid strategy and solution shaping for public sector opportunities across London, Cardiff, and Belfast. You will lead qualification and shaping of managed services bids, aligning solutions to client objectives, procurement frameworks, and internal risk tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Lead qualification of public sector managed services opportunities, preparing qualification papers and shaping recommendations for governance reviews.
• Interpret procurement documents including ITTs, SQs, DPS frameworks, and call-off mechanisms to define bid strategies and solution options.
• Develop high-level solution designs encompassing operating models, transition plans, and implementation roadmaps, documenting assumptions, dependencies, risks, and mitigations.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evidence ROI and value, ensuring solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned to client needs.
• Collaborate with sales directors and enabling functions to position offerings that differentiate on quality, compliance, and commercial impact.
• Mentor peers on solutioning best practice, with emphasis on public sector delivery experience.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience designing outsourcing or managed services solutions, ideally in public sector contexts.
• Strong track record in bid strategy, solution shaping, and interpreting public procurement (e.g., ITTs, SQs, frameworks).
• Familiarity with business case development, ROI assessment, risk mitigation, and governance processes.
• Experience creating compelling client proposals that articulate differentiation and purpose.
• Leadership in coaching teams and scaling solution methodologies.
