Controls Engineer Near Huddersfield (Hybrid Working) | Full-time | £40,000 – £60,000 + Benefits We are working with a well-established and growing engineering manufacturer based near Huddersfield, delivering specialist equipment and solutions into highly regulated and technical industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Controls Engineer to support the development of advanced control systems across their product range. The Role As a Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, programming, and development of control systems for bespoke engineered solutions. Key responsibilities include: \* PLC programming and development (from scratch and modification) \* Design and implementation of control systems for specialist equipment \* Commissioning and testing of systems (on-site and occasionally at customer sites) \* Working closely with mechanical and electrical design teams \* Supporting continuous improvement and innovation in control strategies \* Troubleshooting and fault-finding on existing systems What We’re Looking For \* Experience in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar) \* Background in controls system design and development \* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics \* Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment \* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills \* Ability to work effectively in a hybrid role (office + remote) ⭐ Desirable \* HMI/SCADA experience \* Knowledge of automation systems or special purpose machinery \* Experience with commissioning \* Experience working within regulated or high-spec environments What’s on Offer \* Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience) \* Hybrid working arrangement \* Opportunity to work on technically interesting and varied projects \* Stable and growing business \* Collaborative engineering environment \* Career development opportunities Interested?
