Role Overview
We are seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to support hardware validation and compliance testing for new and existing products. The role involves hands-on testing, test plan development, test reporting, and close collaboration with design and development teams, including testing at external test houses.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on hardware testing and validation activities
- Produce clear and accurate test reports, including results from external test houses
- Create and develop test plans for new products and emerging technologies
- Support Design and Development teams with product testing and evaluation
- Recommend further investigation or improvements based on test outcomes
- Optimise test scripts and tools to improve efficiency and coverage
- Organise, analyse, and present test data to clearly demonstrate results
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong engineering mindset with eagerness to learn new skills
- Background in Electronics Engineering or related discipline
- Hands-on experience with electronics test equipment:
- Oscilloscopes
- Digital Multimeters
- Spectrum Analysers
- Knowledge of compliance standards:
- Experience attending and supporting testing at external test houses
(Note: Candidates must not have medical conditions such as pacemakers that could prevent attendance)
- Experience using test and validation methodologies, tools, and scripts
- Ability to organise, analyse, and present test data effectively
Nice to Have (Non-Essential)
- Experience collaborating with developers to design test cases
- Ability to summarise technical information for different audiences
- Experience managing a test workstack
- Basic experience with Python coding or scripting
