Your new role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll take a lead role in the design, delivery and coordination of electrical building services across a range of complex projects. Working within collaborative, nonperforming engineering teams, you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading electrical design from concept through to completion
• Producing calculations, specifications, reports and drawings
• Overseeing project delivery, resource planning and quality control
• Coordinating with mechanical, sustainability and architectural teams
• Attending site visits, client meetings and design workshops
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
• Ensuring compliance with standards, regulations and best practice

Projects vary by consultancy but typically include large-scale commercial office refurbishments, education campuses, datacentres, high-end residential schemes, healthcare upgrades and complex CAT A/CAT B fit-outs.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Strong experience in electrical building services design within a UK consultancy
• Good understanding of BS standards, CIBSE guidance and UK regulations
• Proficiency with industry software (Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Revit advantageous)
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to manage projects independently and deliver to deadlines
• Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership (CEng/IEng)
