We are currently working with a growing telecoms and data business to recruit a Junior Telecoms Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within the telecoms industry, with full training and progression available.

This is a hands-on, field-based role involving regular site visits, installations, and support across telecoms and data infrastructure. The position would suit a practical, motivated individual who is eager to learn and confident working in customer-facing environments.

The Role

• Supporting the installation and maintenance of telecoms and data systems
• Working on-site across a range of client locations
• Assisting with cabling (copper and fibre), equipment setup, and general infrastructure work
• Troubleshooting issues and supporting customers where required
• Managing multiple tasks and responding to client needs in a professional manner
• Working closely with the wider engineering team to deliver projects

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Strong communication skills with a professional and confident manner
• Customer-focused approach with the ability to build rapport
• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
• Proactive attitude with the confidence to take ownership of tasks
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a varied workload
• Experience and confidence using hand tools
• Good organisation skills with strong time management

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within telecoms, data, or cabling environments
• Knowledge of copper and fibre cabling
• Basic IT knowledge
• ECS Network Infrastructure Installer (Level 3) card
• CSCS Green Labourer card
