The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Head of Engineering to join our team at our Rogerstone Meals site, which is a long-standing and respected site, known for producing premium “Ready Meals” for high-profile retail partners including Marks & Spencer. As the Head of Engineering, you will be at the forefront of our engineering operations, ensuring the smooth running of the site. This role is perfect for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong technical background and leadership experience. You will oversee a team of 50 engineers, manage the PPM schedules & CAPEX plan, and work closely with operations and new product development to align factory capabilities with their innovative product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop the engineering strategy, focusing on proactive rather than reactive measures.

Oversee effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.

Collaborate with operations and NPD teams to introduce new products.

Manage the CAPEX plan for the site.

Ensure the smooth operation of typical FMCG machinery, including conveyors and fabrication facilities.

What We’re Looking For:

Extensive experience in engineering within a similar manufacturing environment.

Strong SLT experience in Engineering, ideally being the Site Engineering Lead/Manager

Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams.

Comfortable with fabrication and buildings maintenance.

Ideally, experience within a similar-sized business or operation within FMCG or Food Manufacturing.
