An established manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and continuous improvement activities across a range of equipment. This role is ideal for a multi-skilled engineer who enjoys hands-on problem-solving, working with complex machinery, and ensuring equipment reliability within a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a variety of electro-mechanical machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Fault finding
- Conduct root-cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently in line with engineering standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, job sheets, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and technical teams to resolve issues and optimise performance.
Experience & Skills Required
- Strong background in electro-mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment.
- Solid mechanical capability including strip-down, rebuild, alignment, bearings, pumps, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, electronic, and mechanical disciplines.
- Good communication skills, with a proactive and flexible approach to workload and priorities.
- Competent IT skills for reporting, documentation, and communication.
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent qualification.
