Salary: £42,000 £45,000 12.5% Shift Allowance
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 2pm10pm
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing operation based in Sunbury. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong mechanical and electrical capability, excellent fault-finding skills, and experience supporting heavy industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on heavy industrial production machinery and associated equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair both electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
- Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems to maximise machine uptime
- Assist with the specification, installation, and commissioning of new moulding machines and peripheral equipment (dryers, chillers, robots, hot runner systems).
- Ensure all machinery complies with PUWER, LOLER, HSE, and internal safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with installation, upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment when required.
Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer:
- Multi-skilled engineer with a strong mechanical base.
- Background in heavy industrial, manufacturing, or machinery-heavy environments.
- Ability to work independently during the 210 shift while supporting wider engineering functions.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
