We have an exciting opportunity for a M&E Technician to join our Stourton dairy engineering team. This would be joining an established engineering team within a well invested fast- paced production site. This is a MondayFriday role with one in four on call including that weekend.

How would you make an impact

• Maintaining services across the site in line with providing corrective maintenance in case of site equipment failure and breakdown across the following; Effluent plant, Industrial steam boilers and systems, waste heat boiler, refrigeration plants, compressed air systems, chilled water system, DAF plant, hot & cold water systems, domestic water systems, heat exchangers, cooling towers, HVAC maintenance, 240v electrical systems, 3 phase motors and pumps, and chemical dosing units.
• Daily checks on cooling towers and boiler,. Legal compliance checks, Conduct equipment and plant condition appraisals and work alongside the OEM’s when services are carried out.
• Challenge current processes and practices to identify new opportunities to improve operation and efficiency. Help define ways of works, ppm structure, create SOPs, risk assessment creation and review.
• Awareness of relevant QEHS compliance within the role such as Legionella, fire safety, PSSR, LOTO, BOAS.
• Authorise permits and ensure the work is being carried out in a safe and controlled manner.

What will make you successful

Youll thrive in this role if you hold a Level 3 NVQ or a recognised engineering qualification mech, elec or multi skilled, supported by hands-on experience in both reactive and planned preventative maintenance within a regulated environment. Previous experience in similar site services settings will help you hit the ground running and understand the pace and demands of the role, Boas operator and legionella operator training would be advantages but is not essential as this training can be provided.
