Job Description

We require a hands-on Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to drive the secure implementation of application infrastructure. The critical need is deep expertise in Azure API Management (APIM) (full lifecycle) and Application Gateway integration
Core Technical Competencies (Must-Haves)
Azure API Management (APIM):
Ability to define and implement advanced XML policies (throttling, caching, JWT validation).
Experience integrating APIM with backend services and setting up the Developer Portal.
Networking & Security:
Secure by Design: Demonstrated ability to build secure applications (OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS, VNET integration).
DevOps & Automation:
IaC: Strong Terraform skills for infrastructure provisioning.
Documentation:
Secondary Skills (Contextual Awareness)
Consulting & Soft Skills
Strong communication skills to liaise between the app development team and the platform/infrastructure team.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
Self-driven approach at work with an intrinsic motivation to excel and take ownership of tasks and projects.
Strong demonstrable experience with Azure DevOps (or equivalent CI/CD tooling), scripting languages, and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, PowerShell DSC
Experiencing building and configuring cloud services using Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
Good knowledge on Microsoft Cloud adoption framework for Azure
One or more of the following Azure certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
Experience of implementing modern CI/CD processes for releasing software
Experience in implementing and advocating for DevOps methodologies and processes.
Broad experience building and configuring Azure IaaS and PaaS service (i.e., pp Service, VNETs, NSGs, SQL databases, Service Bus, Function Apps, Key Vault, Logic Apps)
Experience with Git
