MCS Group is working with a growing technology team in Belfast who are looking to bring in a Senior Data Engineer to help build and scale a modern data platform that supports analytics and AI-driven products.

This role will sit within an established engineering team and focus on designing and developing robust data pipelines, improving data infrastructure, and helping the business make better use of its data.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with modern data tooling and wants to play a key role in shaping how data is used across a product-led organisation.

The Role

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
• Work with engineering and product teams to develop data models and data products
• Help develop and maintain a modern cloud-based data platform
• Improve data quality, reliability and performance across the platform
• Support analytics and AI initiatives by ensuring high quality data is available

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience working as a Data Engineer
• Excellent Python and SQL skills
• Experience building and managing data pipelines
• Experience with tools such as Airflow, dbt or similar orchestration tools
• Experience working with modern cloud data platforms (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake or similar)
• Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP

Nice to Have

• Experience working on data platforms or analytics infrastructure
• Exposure to AI or machine learning data pipelines
• Experience working in fast-moving product or technology teams
