About you:

• Strong proficiency in Node.js with a focus on back-end development
• Deep knowledge of TypeScript and API design best practices
• Experienced in database architecture, especially PostgreSQL or similar
• Skilled in building third-party integrations, webhooks, and event-driven systems
• Comfortable owning live system architecture and designing scalable solutions
• Enthusiastic about cloud infrastructure, security, and performance with familiarity in AWS or similar platforms
• Adept at DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of real-time tech such as WebSockets
• Familiar with automated testing and search technologies like Elasticsearch or Typesense

What you’ll do:

• Architect and enhance backend infrastructure: databases, APIs, and integrations
• Develop clean and efficient contracts between front-end and back-end teams
• Build and optimise integrations with external platforms to increase company’s value
• Maintain and evolve search functionalities and infrastructure
• Collaborate directly with the founder to shape product development and technical strategy
• Monitor and improve cloud deployment, security, and system performance
• Guide and mentor junior developers to grow their skills
