Senior Network Engineer
Location: Leek Wootton (CV35 7QA) - Hybrid (typically 2-3 days onsite, flexibility required)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 total package (including allowance & on-call)

VIQU have partnered with a well-established public sector organisation delivering critical digital services across a large, complex environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking Digital Services team, where you’ll play a key role in shaping and supporting enterprise-scale network infrastructure.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll sit within a Strategy and Architecture-focused team, contributing to the design, build, and continuous improvement of both physical and virtual network environments. You’ll work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the network estate is secure, scalable, and aligned with organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure
• Support architectural improvements and emerging technology adoption
• Carry out impact analysis and ensure quality of system changes
• Collaborate with third-party providers and internal stakeholders
• Produce and maintain technical documentation

Core Tech & Experience

• Strong experience with Cisco, Azure, AWS, Zscaler, SolarWinds, Sentinel
• Knowledge of SD-WAN, VLANs, Azure vWAN
• Experience with static & dynamic routing
• Understanding of network monitoring, ITSM, ISO 20000
• Experience working in large, complex environments

On-Call

• 1 week in 4 rota
• Additional pay included in overall package
• Low call-out volume (typically remote when required)
