We are currently supporting a major UK government-facing organisation in the search for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their core infrastructure team. This role will play a key part in supporting and maintaining critical enterprise platforms across a complex, multi-technology environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on infrastructure specialist with strong experience across VMware, Linux and Citrix environments, working within a highly secure and technically challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide hands-on support and administration across enterprise infrastructure platforms

* Support and maintain VMware virtualisation environments

* Manage and maintain Linux (Debian) server environments

* Support Citrix platforms including upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting

* Contribute to infrastructure improvement, optimisation and reliability initiatives

* Work collaboratively with internal teams and third-party suppliers to support services

* Produce and maintain technical documentation and knowledge sharing across teams

* Assist with infrastructure projects and platform enhancements

Key Skills & Experience

* Strong experience supporting VMware environments (configuration, updates, platform support)

* Solid Linux administration experience (Debian preferred)

* Experience supporting Citrix environments

* Good understanding of Windows infrastructure including identity and access management

* Exposure to public or private cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)

* Strong troubleshooting skills across enterprise infrastructure platforms

* Experience working within operational environments supporting BAU and project delivery

* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced infrastructure support team

Additional Information

* Candidates must be British nationals and able to obtain SC Security Clearance

* Hybrid working with regular onsite presence required in Milton Keynes

* On-call participation may be required as part of the role
