Contract DevOps Engineer (Terraform / AWS / Kinesis) Location: London (2 days per week onsite) Rate: £350/day (Inside IR35) Contract: Part-time (2 days per week) Start: ASAP Overview We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Terraform and Amazon Web Services to support the build, deployment, and ongoing operation of a cloud-based platform. This role is primarily focused on infrastructure, environment support, and CI/CD reliability, with exposure to event streaming technologies such as Amazon Kinesis . Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Environment Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform Support environment setup, configuration, and readiness Manage IAM roles, networking, and secure access controls Handle secrets, certificates, and platform configuration AWS & Event Streaming Support provisioning and maintenance of AWS services Work with event streaming solutions (Kinesis or similar) Assist with architectural decisions where required CI/CD & Deployment Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues (build failures, vulnerabilities, artefact issues) Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for feature-level deployments Ensure reliable and repeatable deployment processes Support & Incident Management Investigate and triage platform issues and failures Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with relevant teams Unblock infrastructure-related issues impacting delivery Monitoring & Reliability Support monitoring and alerting for platform services Work with Ops teams to ensure high availability and reliability Contribute to ongoing platform stability improvements Additional Responsibilities Support integration with upstream/downstream systems Assist with performance testing (including latency improvements where required) Contribute reusable components, utilities, and best practices Provide documentation and handover to operations teams Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (modular infrastructure preferred) Solid experience with AWS (IAM, networking, core services) Experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines Background in DevOps / Platform Engineering roles Strong problem-solving and incident triage skills Desirable Skills Experience with Amazon Kinesis or other streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka) Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools Experience working in complex, integrated environments Awareness of performance optimisation (e.g. latency improvements) Working Pattern 2 days per week onsite in London Flexible engagement with potential to scale depending on project needs Ideal Candidate Hands-on and proactive DevOps engineer Comfortable working across build, deployment, and support Able to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset TPBN1\_UKTJ
