Automation Lead – Infrastructure Automation | Contract | £400–£525 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: London or Norwich (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Automation Lead to drive infrastructure automation and operational automation initiatives across strategic enterprise accounts. This role will focus on delivering automation roadmaps, improving automation maturity, and implementing scalable solutions across IT operations and infrastructure environments.

You will work closely with delivery teams, engineering teams and client stakeholders to design and implement automation strategies that improve efficiency, reduce operational overhead and increase platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead automation strategy and automation roadmap development across multiple enterprise accounts

* Implement infrastructure automation and IT operations automation solutions

* Identify automation opportunities and drive automation maturity across business units

* Work with delivery teams to implement automation tools, scripts and orchestration frameworks

* Ensure automation solutions are scalable, monitored and aligned with operational standards

* Manage automation initiatives, resolve technical escalations and support programme delivery

* Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal delivery teams to drive automation outcomes

Required Skills

* Strong experience in Infrastructure Automation or IT Operations Automation

* Hands-on experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell or Python

* Experience delivering automation strategy, automation roadmap or automation transformation

* Background in enterprise IT services, managed services or infrastructure operations

* Experience working with client stakeholders and delivery teams

Desirable Experience

* Automation implementation across large enterprise environments

* Experience within IT services, consulting or managed services organisations
