We are actively recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to work on a continental shift rota covering 12-hour days and nights. This Electrical Engineer role will be based in Canary Wharf, working for a global managed services provider supporting their client, a global financial services orginsation.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with an NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation to develop towards NVQ Level 3, with full support and training provided. It is a great opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Engineer to progress their career within a critical environment and gain valuable exposure on a high-profile site.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Supporting the shift team in the provision of engineering services.
* Day-to-day interaction with the Building Management System (BMS).
* Completing and maintaining planned preventative maintenance (PPM) records.
* Carrying out general housekeeping duties across plant and technical areas.
* Promoting and maintaining best working practices at all times.
* Ensuring compliance with all QHSE policies and procedures.
* Supporting colleagues to maintain strong motivation and commitment to the client, contract, and company.
* Taking a proactive approach to resolving day-to-day engineering issues.
* Monitoring and reviewing permits and safe systems of work for all maintenance activities.
* Understanding and following all emergency procedures.
* Interfacing with tenants and clients at all levels.
* Working closely with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery, including project teams.
* Demonstrating and upholding the company’s behavioural standards.
To be considered for this Electrical Engineer role, you must hold the following qualifications:
* NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation (minimum)
* BS 7671 Wiring Regulations – 18th Edition
