An exciting opportunity with our client for a hands-on Head of Data & Analytics to lead reporting and business intelligence across a group of manufacturing businesses.

This role combines strategic leadership with technical delivery, driving a modern data capability while developing high-quality reporting and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Define and deliver the BI & reporting strategy across the organisation
Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualisations
Work with SQL and raw datasets to build scalable data models
Establish data governance, KPI frameworks, and reporting standards
Develop and optimise data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting performance
Provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and performance
Automate reporting processes and improve data accessibility
Partner with senior stakeholders across operations, finance, and leadership
Essential Skills & Experience

Expert-level Power BI (dashboard design, visualisation)
Advanced SQL (query writing, optimisation)
Strong data modelling and analytical dataset design
Experience working with large, complex datasets
Background in manufacturing, engineering, or operational environments
Proven ability to work both strategically and hands-on
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Desirable

Experience with ERP systems and data integration
Knowledge of ETL and data warehousing
Advanced DAX
Exposure to Azure (Synapse, Azure SQL, Data Lakes)
Experience with Python or Microsoft BI stack tools
Track record of improving dashboard performance and data quality
