Were looking for a talented Linux Engineer to join a major long-term transformation programme. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep technical engineering across large Linux estates and wants to help shape modern, automated, secure platforms at enterprise scale.

About the Role

Youll be part of a specialist engineering team responsible for delivering robust, secure, and automated Linux platforms. Your work will directly support large-scale migrations, platform modernisation, and the adoption of new technologies across a complex, highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Developing automation for provisioning, configuration, patching, and compliance
• Troubleshooting complex OS, performance, networking, and security issues
• Driving platform standardisation, engineering best practices, and operational improvements
• Supporting major upgrades, migrations, and transformation initiatives
• Collaborating with architecture, cloud, and security teams

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on Experience with RHEL 7/8/9
• Deep understanding of Linux internals, SELinux, networking, and storage
• Experience with Automation Platforms
• Knowledge of Red Hat Satellite for patching and lifecycle management
• Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
• Experience working in secure, regulated, or large-scale enterprise environments

Arrangement

• 6-12 month contract on a several year project scope.
• Hybrid working arrangement
