As an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer you will lead the development and packaging of all mechanical components into power systems.As a senior mechanical engineer youll work closely with Electrical,SystemsandSoftwareengineerstodeliverstate-of-the-artdesignsforcustomers worldwide. Key Responsibilities Translatecustomerrequirementstodevelopthepower systems mechanicaldefinitionand specification. Produce CAD models using SolidWorks (sheet metal) and select components/specificationsconsideringstandards,availabilityandcost. StructuremodelsinPDMto company standards. CollaboratewithElectricalandSystemsteamstoensuredesignsarefeasible,safeand cost-effective. Supportkeyvendors,guidingconstructionandmanufactureofproductswithelectrical elements. Addresscomplexdesignandmanufacturingchallengeswithintheengineeringteam. Present/discussideaswithsuppliersandcreateprototypes/samplesfortesting. Producedetailedmechanicaldesigndocuments(layoutdrawingsandcalculations). Resolvedesignissuesarisingduringfabrication,production,testingorservice. EnsuredesignsarereleasedtomeetbusinessdeadlinesanddeliveraccurateBillsof Materials (BOMs). Prepare/checkdocumentationtosatisfycustomer,companyandregulatory requirements. Keepuptodatewiththelatestmanufacturingtechniquesanddrawingstandards. Skills & Experience Required DegreeinMechanicalEngineeringpreferred(orequivalentexperience). Strongtechnicalskillswiththeabilitytoprioritiseworkloadandmeetdeadlines. ProficientwithSolidWorks;PDM&FEAknowledgepreferred. CompetentwithMicrosoftOffice;familiarwithBOMstructuresandmanagement. Experienceinshipping-containerorcontrol-paneldesign(preferred). Experiencewithweldedassemblies(preferred). Knowledgeofcablerouting (preferred).
