Our client is a leading, global professional services firm, providing a broad range of services in strategy and consulting, interactive, technology and operations, with digital capabilities across all of these services. They are current seeking to appoint a DevOps Engineer*. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations to accelerate delivery, automating infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD pipelines and system monitoring. As a DevOps Engineer you will: Be an integral part of the wider DevOps team, supporting the development and testing of features by Scrum teams. Automate the provision of serverless integrations. Configure tools such as Gitlab, SmartBear, SonarCube etc. Create automated processes to apply continuous integration and continuous testing. As a DevOps Engineer you will need: Proven experience implementing concepts such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment. Infrastructure as a code experience (Cloudformation, AWS CDK, Terraform etc). Competent in automated software Quality Assurance. System monitoring experience using tools such as Cloudwatch,Kibana, Splunk etc. Competent in at least one common scripting language. Working knowledge of Agile and Lean Software delivery methodologies. Knowledge of RESTful APIs, how to consume them and how to invoke / engage with them as part of DevOps pipelines and scripting. How to stand out: Can showcase leadership qualities and/or introducing DevOps to new projects. Technical architecture experience Experience defining and managing roadmaps for the implementation of DevOps in an enterprise IT organisation. Virtual network setup and/or Functional/Performance testing experience.
