Key Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
Perform reactive maintenance and PPM on machinery to ensure reliability.
Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions to prevent issues.
Prioritise engineering tasks in line with night shift production needs.
Maintain health & safety and food safety compliance while working in controlled environments.
Record maintenance activity in the CMMS and keep documentation up to date.
Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
Keep engineering areas clean, organised, and safe.
Manage spare parts and tools, ensuring availability and maintenance standards.
Requirements:
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
Completed apprenticeship or recognised engineering training preferred
Experience
3+ years experience in engineering roles
2+ years experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
Skilled in PPM, breakdown repairs, and fault finding
Familiarity with production machinery and plant equipment
