A well-established engineering business is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join its growing technical team. The company designs and installs specialist process equipment for customers across the UK and Europe.
This role combines workshop testing, installation and on-site commissioning, supporting projects from build through to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting system build and testing prior to delivery
Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
Installation and commissioning of equipment at customer sites
Carrying out Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and system handover
Supporting validation activities including IQ and OQ protocols where required
Mechanical fault finding and system optimisation
Supporting commissioning of control systems and PLC interfaces
Producing clear commissioning and service documentation
About You
Time-served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical qualification
Experience in commissioning, installation or service engineering
Exposure to FAT, SAT, IQ or OQ processes would be advantageous
If you have not worked directly with these, experience in system testing, validation or equipment trials would also be valuable
Experience with mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, pneumatics or similar equipment
Some familiarity with PLCs or control systems
Able to read engineering drawings and technical documentation
Willing to travel across the UK and occasionally internationally
