A well-established precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-quality components into demanding industries, including automotive, is seeking a Project Engineer to join its growing engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer with 13 years experience who is looking to develop within a technically strong manufacturing environment and gain exposure to real engineering projects from concept through to production.
The Role
Working closely with design, production and quality teams, you will support the delivery of engineering projects within a precision machining environment, ensuring components and processes move efficiently from design into manufacture.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the delivery of engineering and customer projects
Assisting with the introduction of new products into production
Reviewing engineering drawings and supporting manufacturability improvements
Working closely with CNC machining and production teams
Supporting process development, tooling and production documentation
Assisting with problem solving around quality, tolerance and repeatability
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the shop floor
About You
Around 13 years experience in a project, design or manufacturing engineering role
Exposure to precision engineering or machining environments (automotive, aerospace or similar)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Some experience with CAD software or engineering design tools
A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working closely with both engineering and production teams
