Azure DevOps Engineer – Hybrid / East Midlands – Contract – Outside IR35

VIQU have partnered with a global organisation based in the East Midlands who are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to multiple ongoing and upcoming cloud migration initiatives.

Please note that this is a hybrid role, and you will be required to work 3 days per week onsite in the East Midlands.

Role Summary:

The successful Azure DevOps Engineer will play a key role in supporting the migration from on-premise infrastructure to a fully cloud-driven environment.

You will drive automation across environments, support development and testing teams, strengthen CI/CD capabilities, and ensure environments, data, and deployments operate smoothly, securely, and efficiently. This role requires someone who is comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Strong hands-on experience working with Azure DevOps.

Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and on-premise to cloud migration projects.

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform.

Containerisation & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, AKS.

Strong pipeline automation and scripting skills – CI/CD (YAML).

Experience with Azure DevOps Artifacts, Boards, Repositories.

Understanding of DevOps principles, Agile methodologies, and best practices.

Awareness or exposure to C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core.

Source control management (Git).

Microservices architecture.

Duration: 3 months’ initial contract

Rate: £400 - £500 per day

IR35 status: Outside IR35

Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite in East Midlands
