Materials Engineer The Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a Materials Engineer to join a global Fortune 500 company working with advanced sensing technologies. You will support the development and improvement of ceramic materials used in innovative sensor products. Working within a collaborative engineering team, you will contribute to new product development, improve materials and manufacturing processes, and help deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer and industry requirements. Materials Engineer - Key Responsibilities: - Research and develop processing techniques for ceramic products - Develop manufacturing processes for ceramic-based components - Analyse test results to improve product quality and reduce production costs - Test finished ceramics to ensure quality, consistency and durability - Produce and maintain product design documentation - Provide technical support to the Sales team and customers - Stay current with new technologies through benchmarking and analysis - Apply lessons learned and collaborate with cross-functional teams - Prepare samples for new specifications and designs - Respond to customer technical enquiries Materials Engineer - You: - Bachelors degree in Materials Engineering or a related field (ceramics preferred) - Experience in materials engineering or development, ideally with ceramics - Knowledge of ceramics formulation and processing - Experience with laboratory testing and analysis - Structured problem-solving skills in manufacturing or engineering environments - Experience working within a new product development process - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Fluent in English Materials Engineer Benefits: - 26 days annual holiday + Public Holidays - Defined Contribution Pension - Group Life Assurance - Group Income Protection - Free car parking We are not able to offer sponsorship for this role.
