The finance function is undergoing continued development, and the team is seeking a motivated finance professional to support effective financial planning, performance monitoring and informed decision-making. Your new role
As the Finance Officer, you will support senior finance colleagues and operational managers by providing clear, accurate financial information. Key duties include:
- Assisting with annual budget setting and ensuring plans align with organisational priorities.
- Supporting the development of efficiency, recovery and contingency plans.
- Identifying financial risks early and helping agree corrective actions.
- Enhancing the use of financial systems, reporting tools and analytical processes.
- Producing ad hoc financial reports and resolving queries from senior management.
What you’ll need to succeed
You must meet one of the following criteria:
- Degree + 2 years’ relevant finance experience
- AAT/HND + 2 years’ relevant finance experience
- Part qualified CCAB + 1 year’s relevant finance experience
- 3 years’ relevant Band 4 equivalent experience
You will also demonstrate:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High Excel competency
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (accruals, prepayments)
- Ideally, experience in management accounts and variance analysis
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
