Salary: £40,593.78 + LWA (inclusive of standby allowance & competency payment)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join a respected building services provider supporting a major UK supermarket chain.
This role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of electrical, mechanical, and catering equipment across multiple retail locations. Youll carry out planned site visits as well as reactive works, PPMs, and minor repairs as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales, ensuring all documentation is accurate.
- Deliver reactive and planned maintenance on catering and bakery equipment.
- Conduct emergency lighting and fire alarm testing and repairs.
- Carry out general on-site repairs and maintenance as allocated by management.
- Identify non-repairable or end-of-life faults in equipment and report recommendations for replacement.
Qualifications / ExperienceEssential
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 + 2 or equivalent in Electrical Installation/Maintenance
- City & Guilds 18th Edition
- AM2 / 2391
You will receive an additional £1,500 competency payment upon completing electrical fault-finding training on catering and bakery equipment. Training is employer-funded and delivered during the probation period through two week-long training blocks.
The Ideal Candidate
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience using a PDA system
- Ability to maintain and repair a wide variety of electrical and mechanical equipment, including commercial catering/bakery assets
- Previous experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance in a retail environment
