DevOps Engineer Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid) We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic technology team based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a hands-on role focused on building and supporting cloud-based infrastructure and automation solutions across a variety of large-scale projects. What Youll Be Doing: Work as part of a DevOps team to deliver environments and tools that support development and testing. Automate infrastructure provisioning and system integrations using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Ansible). Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar. Implement system monitoring and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, CloudWatch, Kibana, Splunk, or AppDynamics. Collaborate with development teams to integrate APIs, RESTful services, and automate testing workflows. Support Linux-based environments and scripting in languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, Node.js, or TypeScript. About You: Experienced in CI/CD, automation, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or other public/private cloud). Skilled with Infrastructure as Code and deployment automation. Comfortable in Linux environments and working with scripting languages. Familiar with monitoring, logging, and observability tools. Knowledge of Agile and Lean software delivery methodologies. Confident, proactive, and able to work collaboratively within a technical team. Nice to Have: Experience leading DevOps initiatives or mentoring other engineers. Exposure to virtual network setup, performance testing, or resilience testing. Understanding of enterprise IT architecture and large-scale system design.
