Hays are working in partnership with an engineering consultancy located in North Belfast seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for their Northern Ireland team. This consultancy provides a range of services in civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering design, serving sectors such as water, transportation, building, and infrastructure across Northern Ireland, Great Britain, and the Republic of Ireland. Your new role
This is a great chance to join a growing consultancy with strong opportunities to advance your Responsibilities:Help design and deliver engineering solutions that meet client and issue technical documents, designs, and detailed drawings and for high-quality and innovative engineering closely with senior engineers to manage time and with other engineering teams to ensure the design works as a company systems for safety, project management, and risk control.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in the role of Senior Structural Engineer, applicants should have between 3 to 5 years of UK-based experience. Proficiency in designing structures using concrete, steel, timber, and masonry is essential. Familiarity with finite element analysis software, technical report writing, and preparing specifications is highly experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous: temporary works, bridge and highway projects, or water-retaining structures. A solid understanding of British Standards and Eurocodes is required, along with practical knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
