Full Stack Web Developer | £45,000 - £55,000 | Remote-first | Lancashire HQ (2-3 days onsite per year)

I’m working with an established UK organisation that is investing heavily in its in-house technology capability. The company is currently rebuilding and modernising a suite of internal software platforms, replacing Legacy systems and developing new solutions to support core business processes.

They are looking for a Senior Web Software Developer to join a small, collaborative internal engineering team responsible for designing and building these systems from the ground up.

This role offers the opportunity to work on business-critical applications used across the organisation, helping shape the architecture and development standards as the company transitions to a modern web-based platform.

The team places a strong emphasis on clean code, structured development practices, and quality-first engineering, and they are looking for someone who enjoys solving real-world operational challenges through well-designed software.

The role is remote-first, with the team meeting onsite in Lancashire approximately 2-3 times per year for planning sessions and collaborative workshops.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building modern web applications used across the organisation
• Developing Front End interfaces and user workflows using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Contributing to Back End services and APIs that power internal systems
• Helping shape software architecture, coding standards, and engineering best practices
• Working closely with stakeholders to translate business processes into scalable software solutions
• Collaborating with a small engineering team across UI development, integrations, and databases

What they’re looking for

• Strong commercial experience with JavaScript and modern Front End frameworks (ideally Vue.js)
• Good understanding of software design principles and structured development practices
• Experience or exposure to Back End technologies such as Node.js or SQL databases
• A quality-focused approach to development, including testing, maintainable code, and documentation
• Someone comfortable contributing to technical decisions within a collaborative engineering team
