I’m working with an established UK organisation that is investing heavily in its in-house technology capability. The company is currently rebuilding and modernising a suite of internal software platforms, replacing Legacy systems and developing new solutions to support core business processes.

They’re looking for a Web Software Developer to join a collaborative internal engineering team responsible for building and improving these systems.

This role offers the opportunity to work on business-critical applications used across the organisation, contributing to the development of modern web-based platforms while learning from experienced engineers in the team.

The environment places a strong emphasis on clean code, structured development practices, and quality-focused engineering.

The position is remote-first, with the team meeting onsite in Lancashire approximately 2-3 times per year for planning sessions and collaborative workshops.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing modern web applications and internal systems
• Building Front End interfaces and user workflows
• Contributing to Back End services and REST APIs
• Working with developers to deliver scalable and maintainable software
• Translating business requirements into practical software solutions
• Contributing to code quality, testing, and documentation

Technology environment

• JavaScript
• Vue.js
• Node.js
• Azure Cloud Services
• MS SQL Server

• Commercial experience with JavaScript and modern Front End frameworks (ideally Vue.js)
• Understanding of structured development practices and software design principles
• Exposure to Back End technologies such as Node.js or SQL databases
• A focus on writing clean, maintainable code
• Someone who enjoys learning and developing within a collaborative team
