Technical Architect UK Remote - Occasional travel to Reading or Glasgow Salary up to £95,000 SC Clearance eligibility required
Were looking for an experienced Technical Architect to join our Cloud Engineering and Platforms practice. This hands-on leadership role involves designing and building secure, automated, and scalable cloud platforms, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and a growing multi-cloud footprint across AWS and GCP. This is an ideal opportunity for a pragmatic architect with strong engineering depth and a clear architectural mindsetsomeone who can articulate what excellence looks like and bring it to life through modern DevOps, automation, and infrastructure-as-code patterns.
Key Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into secure, scalable architectures usingWellArchitectedFrameworks
• Lead platform architectureandembedNFRs
• Build automated cloud platforms usingIaC
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and reusable modules, guardrails, andpolicyascodeto support secure, consistent cloud adoption.
• Applyendtoendsecurity across identity, networking, encryption, secrets, MFA, andzerotrust.
• Implement automated security scanning (SAST/DAST), dependency checks, and secure pipeline patterns, aligning platforms withorganisationaland regulatory standards.
• Work across the full project lifecycle.

About You:

• Experienced in designing and building secure cloud solutions(ideally Azure, with awareness of AWS or GCP)andcloudready, distributed, scalable architectures
• Skilled at leading technical discussions and articulating architectural decisions,
• Advancedknowledge ofIaCautomation (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation) with strong DevOps skills across CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern development practices
• Knowledgeable in cost analysis,optimisation, ROI modelling

Knowledge and Experience of the following would be advantageous:

• Consulting or client facing project leadership experience
• Experience with .NET of Python
• Familiar with cloud-native security tooling
