GeoenvironmentalEngineer - £28-£45K Dependant on level of experience- Leeds

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established, employee-owned engineering consultancy based in Leeds.

The business is a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in Civil, Structural and Geoenvironmental Engineering, delivering high-quality technical solutions across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer with 25 years experience to support the delivery of site investigation projects and assist with the supervision of remedial works and earthworks across the UK.

The Role

As a Geoenvironmental Engineer, you will play an important role in supporting site investigation and environmental assessment projects while working closely with both the infrastructure and structural engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing desk studies and factual/interpretative ground investigation reports
• Logging and sampling soil and rock
• Carrying out ground gas and groundwater monitoring and sampling
• Supervising ground investigation works and site operations
• Supporting the delivery of projects within a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment
• Liaising with subcontractors and project teams
• Assisting the civil and structural engineering teams with technical support
• About YouDegree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 2+ years relevant post-graduate experience within a consultancy or ground investigation contractor
• A Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or similar is desirable
• Working towards Chartered status with the Geological Society, CIWEM, CIEH or a similar professional body
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience producing technical reports
• Well organised with strong time management skills
• Willingness to travel and occasionally work away from home
• Full UK driving licenceand the right to work in the UK
