Senior / Lead Software Developer - .NET, Entity Framework

Hybrid / Remote / Bicester (1 day per week in office) - Strong rail & Motorway connections.

An established UK technology business is looking to hire a Senior / Lead .NET Developer to join their software engineering team, working on a large, business-critical web platform.

This role is hands-on and will involve designing, developing and maintaining a complex application for their largest, enterprise client. Youll be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle, from understanding requirements through to delivery, enhancement and ongoing improvement of live systems.

Youll write clean, maintainable C# code using ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework Core, working with SQL Server databases and RESTful APIs. Youll also work with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and use Git for version control within an agile development environment.

As a senior developer, youll contribute to technical decision making, take part in code reviews, and help uphold development standards across the team. There is scope to influence how the platform evolves and to improve existing patterns, performance and reliability.

You will also support less experienced developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing, and lead by example, being the SME in the team.

The role involves working closely with non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions, balancing delivery deadlines with code quality and long-term maintainability.

This position would suit an experienced .NET developer with strong commercial experience in C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core and SQL Server, who enjoys ownership, problem solving and working on systems that have real-world impact.
