Senior AI Engineer / Developer

Seeking an experienced AI Engineer / Developer to design and deliver production-grade AI systems using Large Language Models (LLMs).

This is a hands-on senior role focused on building scalable, enterprise-ready AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement LLM-powered applications

Build and optimise RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) pipelines

Develop AI agents with tool integration and multi-step workflows

Engineer scalable Python-based services and APIs

Implement semantic search using vector databases

Deploy and manage AI solutions within cloud environments (Azure preferred)

Contribute to best practices across evaluation, monitoring and reliability

Provide technical guidance within a growing AI function

Required Experience

Strong commercial experience building LLM-driven systems

Hands-on RAG architecture implementation

Solid Python software engineering background

Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar

Exposure to vector databases and embedding workflows

Cloud deployment experience (Azure advantageous)

Experience delivering production systems at scale

Remote (with occasional travel to office).

Salary

Permanent roles: £100k+ (potentially more for specialist experience).
