I am currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Maintenance Engineering Technician to join their fast-paced food manufacturing.

The role as a Maintenance Engineer:

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults quickly and effectively
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
• Support Production teams to optimise line efficiency and process setup
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and shift handovers
• Through structured continuous improvement devise initiatives to increase efficiencies and reduce costs and implement engineering projects
• Work with department manager to maintain spare part control
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards

The successful Engineering Technician will have:

Essential:

• Minimum 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively
• High attention to detail

Desirable:

• Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate
