Title: Structural Engineer
Location: Manchester

About The Role

• Produce structural calculations and detailed technical drawings compliant with UK standards
• Support projects across sectors including commercial, residential, educational & healthcare
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Carry out structural surveys, assessments and reporting
• Assist with project coordination, technical submissions and compliance checks
• Attend project meetings and site visits where required

About You

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline
• Typically 3 - 8 years experience in a UK structural engineering consultancy
• Strong understanding of structural design for concrete, steel, timber and masonry
• Competency in producing calculations to Eurocode standards
• Experience with CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

Partial or full chartered status (IStructE or ICE) or working towards chartershipExperience with structural surveys, refurbishment projects or detailed reportingSome knowledge of civil engineering elements (e.g. drainage, ground conditions)
