UK Power Networks Services is looking for a skilled Operational Engineer to help deliver essential construction, maintenance and fault‑response activities across our high‑voltage networks (400V-33kV). What you’ll be doing

Deliver construction, maintenance and fault activities across UKPN Services and client assets
Lead and coordinate day‑to‑day engineering works with Technicians, Fitters, Apprentices and Contractors
Represent UKPN Services at client and contractor meetings
Oversee substation and cabling projects, ensuring high standards of safety and compliance
Manage commissioning, testing, protection systems, and asset updates
Support planning, procurement, change management and continuous improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

Minimum 11kV Senior Authorised Person (33kV desirable)
HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent/work‑in‑progress)
Strong experience across 400V-33kV distribution systems
Ability to interpret technical drawings and work across varied site environments
Excellent planning, analytical and problem‑solving skills
Full, clean UK driving licence

IOSH / NEBOSH
Knowledge of CDM regulations
Understanding of UK Power Networks Services and client requirements
