About the Role
A large, established manufacturing site is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support safe, efficient and reliable operation of all on-site production equipment. The role involves carrying out day-to-day maintenance activities, resolving breakdowns, improving plant performance, and ensuring engineering work is delivered to a high standard across a busy, fast-moving environment.
You’ll be part of a small, hands-on maintenance team responsible for keeping production running smoothly, identifying ways to improve equipment performance, and ensuring all engineering work meets Health & Safety expectations.
What to Expect
- Carry out planned, preventive and reactive maintenance on plant equipment.
- Ensure all engineering work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with site procedures.
- Maximise equipment uptime by making best use of labour, tools and resources.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Maintain accurate records through the site’s computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Contribute to problem-solving, root-cause analysis and improvement activities.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety and site standards.
What You’ll Need
- Good problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC issues
- Confident working with batch and flexible manufacturing processes.
- Experience using CMMS systems.
- Comfortable analysing data, troubleshooting issues and working methodically.
- Practical understanding of safe working practices and Health & Safety principles.
