A fantastic and rare opportunity has become available to join one of our valued clients as a 3D Design Engineer. This position has opened due to the current postholder relocating overseas, offering a unique opportunity to receive hands-on training and knowledge transfer before their departure.

The Role
As a 3D Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting production through innovative design, prototyping, and additive manufacturing solutions. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Designing and developing 3D models and prototypes to meet production requirements
- Operating Autodesk Fusion 360 (or similar CAD software)
- Using Bambu Studio and operating Bambu 3D printers (advantageous)
- Working with a range of 3D printing materials including ASA, PETG, TPU, and PLA
- Operating 3D scanning equipment and laser etching machinery
- Creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and calculating production costs
- Conducting product quality inspections
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing 3D printing and scanning equipment
- Collaborating closely with the Production team to deliver effective solutions
- Managing digital file storage, maintaining master files, and ensuring version control
- Prioritising workload effectively and managing multiple tasks within a team environment
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven experience in 3D design and additive manufacturing
- Be proficient in Autodesk Fusion 360 or similar CAD software
- Have strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Be detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Working Hours
- Monday Thursday: 7:00am 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am 1:00pm (early finish)
