PMO Consultant

Ncounter are supporting a leading technology consultancy delivering complex digital and defence programmes, and we are seeking an experienced PMO to join a high-velocity delivery environment. This is a 6-month contract, Inside IR35, offering £500–£600 per day, and requires active SC Clearance

This is a hands-on PMO position operating at the centre of a portfolio running 15–25 concurrent projects. You will work alongside delivery teams who move quickly and expect accuracy, structure, and proactive coordination. The role blends PMO governance, resource management, onboarding compliance, and commercial administration, requiring someone who is calm under pressure and comfortable managing significant operational load.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the central coordination point across customers, suppliers, and internal teams, tracking actions, risks, dependencies, and decisions across multiple workstreams

• Maintain governance standards, reporting cadence, and structured information flow suitable for different seniority levels

• Coordinate project staffing by interpreting scope and skill requirements, aligning internal capability, and confirming external partner availability

• Manage resource allocation, utilisation tracking, backfill planning, and transitions across the project lifecycle

• Oversee secure onboarding processes, including clearance validation, eligibility checks, identity and account provisioning, and access to systems and facilities

• Coordinate equipment requests, secure device provisioning, and enhanced access requirements where necessary

• Ensure all compliance, assurance, and operational documentation is distributed, collected, and recorded appropriately

• Manage customer and partner order forms through Jira, validating scope and pricing inputs, securing approvals, and maintaining auditability

We are looking for someone highly organised, detail-driven, and comfortable operating in defence or secure programme environments.
