Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer to support defence-based programmes, delivering reliability, maintainability and supportability analysis in line with UK Defence Standards and customer requirements.
This is a technically focused role suited to engineers who enjoy working at the interface of design, support, and lifecycle performance — influencing product decisions through structured analysis and evidence-based recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver ILS activities in accordance with Defence Standard 00-600 and customer specifications.
- Conduct Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) analysis in line with Defence Standard 00-40.
- Identify high-cost or high-risk supportability drivers within product designs and recommend practical engineering improvements.
- Assess and improve product reliability performance through structured analysis and modelling.
- Evaluate maintainability characteristics to ensure compliance with customer operational expectations.
- Populate and maintain the Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR).
- Contribute to ILS plans for tender and proposal submissions.
- Deliver work packages to agreed cost, schedule and quality requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Engineering Degree (or equivalent experience).
- Practical experience in ILS, Reliability and Maintainability engineering within a defence or regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of defence standards, support concepts and military operating environments.
- Experience using tools such as Windchill (RELEX), OmegaPS, OPUS10, SIMLOX or equivalent ILS/R&M software.
- Familiarity with MSV military shelter systems (desirable).
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems and configuration control principles.
- Awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental legislative requirements.
