Technical Lead - Birmingham, West Midlands
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) 2 days a week in their offices
Salary: 70k + benefits
Erin Associates are recruiting for a Birmingham based software house seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to own architecture, technical direction, and best practices for a small, high performing development team.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead architecture across Node.js, React, and .NET
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to developers
• Design scalable SQL and NoSQL data solutions
• Drive performance, scalability, and cost-effective cloud architecture
• Produce technical designs, prototypes, and architectural decisions
• Produce clear documentation
• Collaborate closely with algorithms and data processing teams

Essential Experience

• 5+ years cloud full-stack development
• 2+ years in a Senior or Lead Developer role
• Proven experience managing and mentoring developers
• Strong enterprise cloud architecture background
• Comfortable working hands-on within the code

Required Skills
Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, C# (.NET)
Frontend: React, TypeScript
Data: Strong SQL, MongoDB (or equivalent NoSQL)

Cloud & Delivery

• Azure (App Services, Azure Batch production experience)
• Azure DevOps (CI/CD, repos, pipelines, boards)

The Technical lead will have a real influence over architecture and tooling and will be joining a friendly, agile, and innovative team, based in Birmingham where you will play an integral role in the development of data-rich, user-friendly applications.
