Overview

We are seeking an experienced Web Application Diagnostics Engineer to join the Endpoint Security team, supporting a Secure Browser/Browser Isolation solution within a complex enterprise environment.

This role will focus on provisioning, troubleshooting, and optimising secure browsing technology. You will play a key role in diagnosing web application breakage, analysing network traffic flows, and working cross-functionally with network and security teams to resolve compatibility and performance issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision and support components required for a Secure Browser/Browser Isolation solution
• Troubleshoot web application access issues within secure or isolated browsing environments
• Diagnose site breakage where traffic traverses network security layers (Proxy, isolation, filtering, etc.)
• Analyse traffic flows across network inspection points and collaborate with infrastructure teams to implement remediation
• Investigate protocol behaviour used by secure browser and remote browsing technologies
• Perform deep-dive analysis using browser developer tools and network traces
• Capture and interpret HAR files, network waterfalls, console errors, and HTTP traces
• Identify root causes and define clear remediation steps for application compatibility issues
• Work as part of the Endpoint Security team to ensure secure and seamless web access

Required Skills & ExperienceWeb Application Diagnostics (Primary Focus)

• Strong understanding of how modern web applications function:

  • HTTP/HTTPS
  • Sessions & cookies
  • Redirects
  • Headers
  • CORS
  • Caching behaviour

• Proven ability to diagnose site compatibility and breakage issues in constrained environments (eg, Proxy, isolation, secure browsing platforms)

Browser & Protocol Troubleshooting

• Confident using browser developer tools

• Strong experience analysing:

  • Network waterfalls
  • HAR files
  • Console logs
  • TLS/SSL behaviour

• Ability to trace traffic across multiple network layers and identify failure points

Security & Network Understanding

• Experience with Secure Browser or Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) solutions
• Familiarity with secure web gateways, Proxy technologies, and endpoint security tooling
• Ability to work closely with network teams to implement policy or configuration changes

Desirable Experience

• Experience in enterprise-scale security environments
• Exposure to endpoint security operations
