The Role

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will ensure the smooth operation of highly automated systems within a temperature-controlled environment reaching -23C. Youll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, minimising downtime and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain critical automated systems including conveyors, cranes, cooling systems, and oxygen reduction systems
• Deliver planned preventative and reactive maintenance to maximise uptime
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
• Work towards KPIs while maintaining cost control and operational efficiency
• Ensure full compliance with supplier guidelines and safety standards
• Coordinate supplier service visits and protect warranty compliance
• Support warehouse operations to maintain seamless workflow
• Manage spare parts inventory in line with budget and policy
• Provide accurate reporting to the Engineering Manager
• Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives to enhance sustainability

What Were Looking ForEssential:

• NVQ Level 3 in Multi-Skilled Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Apprentice-trained engineering background
• Experience within an FMCG automated warehouse environment

Desirable:

• Cold store and ammonia plant experience
• Experience working at heights
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
