We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Services team, taking a leading technical role in the design, implementation, and support of data centre and service provider network infrastructure.
This is a senior, customer-facing role focused on data centre fabric technologies, service provider networking, and cloud network platforms. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for owning network solutions from low-level design through to implementation and ongoing operational support, ensuring they are resilient, scalable, and aligned with our platforms. You will a key resource for the design, implementation and support of data centre networks, service provider transport technologies, and the network infrastructure that underpins our managed service and cloud delivery.
You will work closely with the Architecture team, delivery engineers, operations, and directly with customers to ensure network solutions are well-designed, clearly documented, and built to perform within a managed service environment.
What Youll Be Doing
- Design, implement, and support core MPLS/Segment Routing networks
- Deploy and manage Layer 3 VPN services for customer and internal connectivity
- Deploy and manage Layer 2 VPN services including VPLS and point-to-point circuits
- Implement EVPN-based services for modern multi-tenant and data centre interconnect requirements
- Work with VXLAN fabrics to deliver scalable overlay networking across sites
- Support BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and other routing protocols within service provider and data centre contexts
- Manage Cisco IOS XR and IOS XE based routers and service provider edge platforms
About you:
Experience and Background
- Minimum 5 years experience designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure, with a strong focus on data centre and service provider technologies
- CCNP, JNCIP or equivalent level of certification
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI fabric environments
- Demonstrable experience with service provider networking technologies including MPLS, L3 VPNs, L2 VPNs, EVPN, and VXLAN
- A self-starter who is comfortable operating independently, taking ownership of technical challenges and progressing work without detailed instruction
- Comfortable using AI-assisted tools and modern technologies to support day-to-day working practices, and willing to help drive their effective adoption within the team
- Experience in an MSP or service provider environment is a strong advantage, as this role requires an understanding of platform-based delivery, SLAs, and operational supportability.
