Fire Suppression Technician / Fire Sprinkler Engineer
Must have experience carrying out PPM maintenance on fire sprinkler systems.
Rate: £200 - £250 including expenses
Location: Central London, various London underground stations
Vehicle required: Must have own van or car
Ticket/ Quals: Sentinel Card - Not essential
Days/ Hours: This role is night shift only -Sun – Thursday night - 10 pm – 6 am
Duration: 12 weeks or longer
PPM Suppression Engineer - PPM
The PPM Engineer will undertake planned maintenance activities on a wide range of fire assets, on the London Underground network. You’ll be working on a night shift , Sunday to Thursday pattern and in all weather. You’ll be trusted to work autonomously and relied on to make sure you work safely at all times. You must have a driver’s license to enable you to travel between sites.
The key deliverables of this role are as follows:
• Completing preventative maintenance tasks on a nightly basis on spirnkler systems
• Ability to support the delivery of Daily tasks in line with business expectations
• Working as part of a team and individually dependant on task
• Health and Safety awareness and practice - Must have fire sprinkler experience
• Monitoring of works to ensure continued compliance
• From a fire surppresion bacground or Mechanical background.
The responsibilities for this role include:
• Provide accurate site reports on completed activities to either the site SPC or your line manager
• Responsible for completion of maintenance against defined schedule
• Ensure maintenance is completed to required standard and report any issues
• Complete any administration tasks in a timely manner
Qualifications / Skill Requirements:
• Familiarity with local, national, and international fire codes, regulations, and standards as wet/dry sprinklers, gas suppression systems, foam systems
• Hydraulics and Fluid Dynamics: Expertise in water flow calculations and the behaviour of fluids under pressure
• Fire Suppression Systems: Understanding of various types of fire suppression systems such
• Previous experience working within the LUL or Rail environment - desriable not esential
